THE NATIVE WALLEYE/PIKE/MUSKIE
IN MEMORY OF MY GRANDPA DICK WOODEN 06/29/42 - 01/24/22
DICK WAS KNOWN TO MOST AS A KIND, HUMBLE, GOD FEARING AND LOVING MAN. TO HIS FISHING FAMILY AND THE LOCALS OF MISSANABIE, ONTARIO HE WAS KNOWN AS THE NATIVE! UP IN THE GREAT NORTH IS WHERE DICK WAS AT HIS MOST PEACE. IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN BUT ITS LIKE THE WILDERNESS ACCEPTED HIM. TALES OF GRANDPA HIKING THROUGH PITCH BLACK BACK COUNTRY AND HOOKING INTO PIKE THE SIZE OF RAILROAD TIES WERE COMMONLY SPOKE AT THE DINNER TABLE.
IN DICK'S LATER YEARS HE CREATED A PIKE SPOON WITH A SPECIAL PINK COLORWAY THAT BECAME A STAPLE IN OUR ADVENTURES NORTH. THE LEGEND OF THE "TRICKY DICKY" WAS BORN THE FIRST TIME IT HIT THE WATER. CATCHING FISH AFTER FISH WHEN NO OTHER COLOR SPOON COULD GET THE JOB DONE.
THE NATIVES LEGACY WILL LIVE ON WITH EVERY FISH TAKEN ON THESE BAITS!
EPHESIANS 1:18-19 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
